Fuji heavy industries the maker of Subaru cars launched the Subaru Kx21 engine designed
specifically for racing karts.
The Kx21 is designed to high power and reliability required for kart racing.
The Kx21 has a high compression and modified head to raise the compression ratio
10:1.
Over the Ex21 engine used on rental karts the Kx version has a modified air intake
and carburettor version together with improved ignition timing to improve horsepower
without compromising emissions or economy.
The Kx is able to provide power from the lowest revs to the maximum revs with a smooth
power band to give an easy to drive performance for novice or expert.
The engines are sealed by Prokart Engineering and tested before delivery and after
every service to maintain a level playing field for all competitors.
Usual service intervals are between 50-60 hours with affordable service costs.
